JOYA lives up to his name which means "researcher", as his own search to bringing new forms of music for Afghans and Persians cultures. It took almost seven years of hard work and determination for JOYA to come up with his own original style of music. All his endless efforts have brought us one of the Golden Gift "DEEWANA".
In his first album entitled "JOYA" which brings the hottest collection of R&B and Pop for the new Generation.
The voice of JOYA, born in Kabul, Afghanistan, migrated to Pakistan in 1996. While attending in his school choir in 1999 which inspired JOYA to take classes under the tutelage of well known vocal teacher Ustad Saleem Khan.
Listening to Farsi and Hindi music sowed the creative seeds for love to bring forth Love "Ahista Ahista" which blossomed into the voice of JOYA.
In 2002, JOYA moved to Canada, along with his musical journey, Joya's interests started to change as he found himself more and more interested in a variety of musical genres including R&B, Hip Hop, and Reggae. Joya's earliest influence includes Bob Marly and John Legend. The Young and Restless, Joya with his first new album release is a rising star.
